Remove the plastic bag inside containing the neck, liver and something more... It is disgusting if you forget it in there...

Boil the contents of that bag for at least 3 hours with carrots, leeks and herbs, never let it go dry, that will give you awesome broth for the sauce.

Turkey is dead easy, just throw it in the oven, and let it cook it self. It even comes with a button that pops out when it is done!

I didn't even read your entire survey, so I have to edit my answer a bit.

I would serve it with mashed potatoes, for two reasons... 1. Home made mashed potatoes it really easy, and good.
2. Your oven would be buissy with the turkey, so most likely no room for anything else.
