It takes years before it happens. Some of my closer friends I got to know in my last year of college, and some after.

Some of them I found after hours of chatting on the internets, and then years chatting with them before I met them in person.

It takes time.

And yes, one on one is weird. I always get caught up in how uncomfortable it is to be face to face, body to body. I'm always a little concerned with how close they are, and if I am being too distant in return.

Don't get me started on people who touch your arm or shoulder or whatever. Hands off, bitches.

Biut when it does click, ever so slowly, I find it's a combination of exchange of personal information, both requested and volunteered, almost never at the beginning demanded, and a clear wya of expressing interests and similarities, and an amicable way of sorting differences. It's...
