If you consider America as consisting of three parts (i.e. with a separate Central-America), it makes most sense to put Mexico into that central one. If you view it as having only two parts, well, yeah... :P


The Caribbean Plate holds the Central American states. And if you want to cleave along cultural lines instead of geological ones, go with Random Thoughts' reply.
