but as far as setting up the subs it's probably more practical. I'm just noting that :) I think someone talked about Sweden or somewhere like that in the last thread on this subject that did that, which is why it occurred to me.

But we do have women serving on our diesel subs (who can stay out for maybe a month) compared to the 6 months or so typical for many nuclear subs. It's pretty much gender agnostic, they share beds just like everyone else (half the crew sleeps at a time, so don't need beds for everyone).
