I basically decided to stick with the Romanized lands, as Austria Switzerland and Germany are not traditionally considered part of the Latin sphere, even though the Romans pentrated past the Rhine at times. I thought giving them all of Austria & Belgium might be claiming too much based on Rome having a mere part.
What's interesting about your idea is that the vast majority of the Roman Empire was not part of the Latin Sphere. I know thats not what you were saying above. Just making an aside. They were part of the Greek sphere. The major cities - Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem, Constantinople and the major and wealthiest population centers were all in the East. Anyway, moot point since those nations in that part of the world are now nearly all Muslim and without a presence or much of a presence in the Olympics.
Anyway you can easily count Switzerland as part of the Latin sphere. Three of their four national languages are Latin based.
