but at least for short-term discussions, if anything, the animal may for some reason come to associate "seeing the vet" as "I'm going to feel better now!!", but that would probably require a relatively intelligent animal, who doesn't dislike the vet, and that goes into the vet for disease-issues relatively frequently (and feels better quickly enough to associate it with the vet).
I'd say, then, that it may be a possibility, but it's probably not a frequent enough occurrence for the vets to worry about.

I just wanted to make sure my view on the matter wasn't skewed from current knowledge, the physicist in me gets panicky and paranoid whenever some aspect of science says different than what I thought.
