I have a friend who has a hypochondriac aunt. I forgot what she thought was wrong but she needed more vitamin E or something of the sort so her doctor wrote her a prescription for it under the scientific name and she gave it to the pharmacist. The pharmacist knew what was up and gave her the product from behind the counter. She went away happy as a lark with something she could have bought from over the counter.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
