From the pro-choice versus pro-life argument I think it is a little hypocritical of those who claim no one else has a right to what a women does with her body and then step in and say “except in the this case”. If women have a right to decide to if and when they carry a child to term then who are the rest of us to tell them what they are allowed and not allowed to consider. If we look this as them killing little girls then we probably shouldn’t be allowing it at all.

Abortion not only causes such gender imbalances but it also leads to the sort of generational imbalances we are starting to see in so many places in the west. I am not convinced that the fall out the generational imbalances will less then the fallout of the gender imbalances. Both may be the short term cost we pay to stop the population growth.

All that being said I think the general idea that Asian countries need to raise the value they place daughters and girls in general is an important concern with or without this issue.
