Sounds like you've got two problems going on there - your friend having some IC/OC separation issues, and your friend disagreeing on the ethics thing. The first is a pain in the ass in any RP, seen it plenty of times myself although never quite to this extent thankfully, the second is just...well it's a wider issue but it just seems so strange that he'd blow up about this after you've known him a long time. Surely he must've known before now you didn't quite see the world the way he does?

It's downright goofball. I've ALWAYS had a fairly large anti-authority streak. That goes back to, quite literally, before this guy was born. I don't tolerate people stomping on my rights in the real world either and will (heck, HAVE) stand up for my rights when it occurs.

I also don't buy into the nicey nice politically correct claptrap. I don't think people are really all that nice.
