in reality. For all we know, her parents are the ones who got all fired up and contacted the ACLU (or pressed her to do it). Maybe she was just naive and thought that it would magically let her have her way and the whole circus was not intended. Or maybe she honestly thought it was the right thing to do, who knows. As stupid as the whole situation is, I'm unwilling to point fingers since all we know is what the media chose to reveal.
