It is very possible, what happened to Saddam Hussein's sons, Uday and Qusay?
That was a day time attack bordering on a major assault, not really an ideal case for capture. But certainly, he might die during an attack, especially a bombing, he might not, is the possibility that he might die therefore automatically a certainty of death and an invalidation of the question?

(I shouldn't do my next comment, but I am going too...)
And he didn't duck the question any worse than Alberto Gonzalez would have with congress.
Meh, I don't approve of anyone the congress called up to answer hypothetical questions in their official capacity dodging around, if there's some case where he did it that comes to your mind, your welcome to mention it and I'd probably agree. If you don't have a particular case in mind then we're more in the range of guessing at the guy's behavior, which seems rather pointless.
Do you honestly think this is a bizarre question to ask the AG though? I mean, asking SecDef 'Do you think we could counter na attack from Poland?' might be expected to be met with a 'I can't say I've given it much thought, it being rather improbable, so I'd want to consult the Joint Chiefs before answering' but surely not with 'That's impossible, next question'. Still, this is really obvious question currently to ask the AG and definitely a real possibility and certainly one he should be ready to answer directly. I don't think the alleged failings of previous AG's is a very good excuse either, Janet Reno's various failings shouldn't exactly be the bar the current AG should be aiming for either.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
