It really doesn't seem to me like it was for "no reason at all." Eventually, you're going to have to decide if you think her rationalization (or lack thereof) was real enough to her to make it all worth this, but I don't think there was no reason. I think there were just undiscussed reasons. And people who are depressed, hurt or just confused can sometimes be excused for making what seem to be stupid reasons. I think you'll really benefit from a discussion that leaves your hurt as a secondary topic, if you think you can do it (I know, easier said than done. *hugs* ).
