mm. two things that bother me about 4th edition

1) They are plainly trying to milk money out of us. Perhaps not in the mechanics, but I mean...come on. In order to see the stats for ALL the core classes (CORE classes!!) you have to buy TWO player's manuals. That's ridiculous.
2) It feels too much to me like they're trying to make PnP fit an electronic gamer's style and expectations. Which I suppose might be good for the industry, but still kind of bothers me.

And if you are playing 4th ed, which kicks 3.5's ass ( ), then you'd do something similar.

Also: I'm confused by what you mean when you say "core" classes.

I'm talking about the classes which DnD has always associated with as "Core"

Well... 3rd edition had about a million books. So that's not exactly a new trend *NM*

Indeed. The number 1 rule for any DM: never say no. If a player wants to do something, let them try.
