12GB hasn't been "a lot" for many years now. These days you can buy a TB for about $55 (I have 2.5TB in my desktop). Storage is cheap. How long has it been since you bought new computer parts? 
I have my hard drive packed full of videos. I'd have to go through and figure out what I'd be willing to get rid of and what I'd want to keep. All the rest of my hard drives are full too.
