You're definitely right about almost all games falling short of Morrowind's glory, but I feel like Fable is a special affront to it. Maybe it's because of all the hype, and Fable supposedly having an open world. Maybe it's because I played the two around the same time, so they were paired and juxtaposed in my mind. Or maybe it's because Fable is just a sh*t game. :P Whatever the reason, you should stay away from it unless it's the last game on earth.
