I don't personally require romantic relationships in an RPG. I LIKE them, but meh. What irritates me is when developers half-do them, like what happened in NWN2. They have half-completed relationships with intended-but-not-implemented dialogue, plot lines, etc...etc... You know this because the dialog for some of it is IN THE FOLDERS. That's what pisses me off.

Honestly, there are plenty of other things that frustrated me with DA2 that "shallow mostly-unentertaining relationships" is really kind of low on the list. Like how it felt like one giant prologue to the real game, which wasn't in my box it seems...


This makes me glad I decided not to get DA2. Though I have to admit the reasons why I was reluctant to get it, against why I'm glad I didn't, are completely different.
