Yeah seriously, the Fifth Blight was pretty lame in retrospect

The First Blight occurred shortly after the (purported) corruption of the Golden City by the Tevinter Magisters and led to the Imperium's collapse. It was two centuries long, and saw the creation of the Grey Wardens an the Golems.
The Fifth Blight, which happened about 1300 years later, lasted a little over a year and was relatively a non-event (as far as Urthumiel turning into an archdemon and ravaging the greater part of a nation can be called such).
I'm a lore geek.

I'm not as big on the lore as you, but the impression I've been getting is that Ferelden was kind of a backwater hick-nation. They have really cool dogs, but that's about it.
So, past Blights, the entire world is nearly overrun by a horde of slavering beasts. Blight number 5, an army starts taking over West Virginia, only to be defeated by the National Guard, a few dozen wizards, and some midgets. Oh, and a first-year Warden.
I mean, it was a fun game, but just picturing it from the perspective of the other nations of the world, it's interesting.
I amuse myself.

Having Anders get pissed at you when you won't sleep with him is stupid.

They're neglecting the gamer demographic in DA2. Sexuality has nothing to do with it.

yah they were pretty empty. The only reason I'm not irritated is that at least they're completed.

They could have done a LOT more with all the in-city strife.

I don't feel bad paying for it, solely cause I never paid for DA1 *NM*

As far as excuses for developer laziness go, that's a pretty poor one.
