It's the sheer number of them. Think about the technology level of Kirkwall. How are they even able to keep that many people alive in one city, muchless have the available nutrition for darktown gangs to be able to go up against lvl 20 Champions and Companions. Not to mention that for the amount of crime and violence there appears to be, the city guard is FUCKIN' TINY. No wonder everyone in the whole city appears to be a bandit of some sort!! WHY NOT??

The logistics are just ridiculous and unrealistic. Its irritating.


Any more ridiculous than, say, the Imperial City in Oblivion? Coruscant from Star Wars? The peasants in Warcraft and their infinite supply of farms. Do you always worry about the population dynamics ruin games for you?

I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you have to like the game just because I did. Different strokes for different folks, and all that. But the reasons you and Ghavrel bring up seem so petty.
