...I remember me and..cymbaline I think it was...raging against the start of this many years ago. About how removal of actual ownership of a game was just as bad as DRM, about how online systems like Steam would lead to the inevtibale online checks to play games full stop. People said we were taking it to far, that it wouldn't get to that, that companies like Blizzard would never have serious outages, there servers would be up, that it was the future, and so all kept buying these games...
