Steam has managed to reach a balance where it offers something Jragghen Send a noteboard - 20/02/2010 04:57:08 AM
I refuse to use it or buy any game containing Steamworks, which is nothing more than a trojan horse wrapped in a game.

I lose the capacity to resell, but the "install on as many as you want, back up files yourself from the local place, offline mode finally working, newer games offer saves on the various machines" is solid. It's worthwhile. And damnit, the games deals are cheap, frequent, and awesome.

Ubisoft's requires you to phone home constantly. That's just stupid.

PC games should just drop all DRM measures or go with Steamworks. - 19/02/2010 08:34:44 PM 720 Views
Don't get me started on Steam again, it's just as insiduous as other DRM 'solutions'. - 19/02/2010 10:37:00 PM 633 Views
