No idea when she got too unbearable. Propably a combination of time since reading the books and the fact that I read up to KoD in finnish and the rest in english (the finnish publisher stopped translating them at that point), and the person responsible for the translation arrangements was a money hungry douche and all the books up till that point were published in 2-3 parts per book (there were 25 books in finnish by the time they dropped the series).
