View original postI scan RealClearPolitics daily, and the headlines of the NYT and the Atlantic are as unbearable as they are expected. Talk about dead horses beating a dead horse.

The problem is that, while obviously I'm not naive as to the motivations of the left-wing press, the number one reason why they keep going is just because he keeps fucking up. Maybe it's true that no president ever got such bad press, but then no president ever did so much within such a short period of time to earn it - much of it is small stuff, true, but in such an endless stream that there's never any time to change the narrative and break out of it. Of course it's not good that there's few if any public attention for attempts to tackle important topics like infrastructure, but Trump's supporters should stop pretending that that's just the fault of the press.

The press is biased, but they do take their job seriously enough that they would dial it back to a semblance of normality if the White House got a handle on things and Trump (or his staff, sure, but who appointed his staff?) stopped setting off new controversies.
