If something could be Stormageddon, I want to know the expected ranges of behavior. I don't want to know only the minimums, so the person telling me doesn't risk feeling stupid or hysterical afterwards. Then it's my right to act as thoroughly (or not) as I can.
It seems like an equal problem - either not telling me the possible full risk OR only telling me that, both to somehow protect your job.
