They were taking to exception to be dismissed as millennials. I had to explain that if you use the pound sign when communicating for something other than a number you are probably a millennial so get over it. I also had to explain that complaining about the younger generation is a sacred and times honored right, maybe even responsibility, of the old and whining about would not change anything so they just needed to put on their big boy pants and suck it up. From their reaction I believe further explanation and examples will be needed. I do wonder at what point they will figure out how entertaining I find their protest and outrage. I suspect it will be right about the time they starting doing it to the next generation.
