it was mostly BS dog whistle words not specfic technical terms random thoughts Send a noteboard - 29/10/2017 02:08:29 AM

What she was trying to say was not complicated it was convoluted. I read technical writing on a daily basis and engineers writing for other engineers do tend to throw around terms that lay people would have trouble following but for the most part the write to be concise and clear. You do have the occasional arrogant prick who over writes everything and is unnecessarily complicated but rarely is its designed to cover up the fact that what they are saying is crap. I don't have trouble following what was written because I lack the vocabulary to follow her it is because she places a higher premium on sounding smart than she does on be heard. It is a common practice among the modern faux intellectuals spouting nonsense. A clue for which one you dealing with is how many of the words are there for a an emotional response and not because they clearly and succinctly convey the concept the writer is trying to get across. We you throw around words like post colonialism when talking about teaching math or the dangers of whiteness there really isn't a question which side of the fence you landed on.
