If he fails to repent, he should be taken into St. Peter's Square and burned with no hope of salvation in this life or the next.

I don't have anything particularly insightful to add, but yeah, the text seems clear enough. And doesn't actually say that God does lead people into temptation - merely asks him not to.

Also, thanks ever so much for getting the song stuck into my head.
