I've had that happen before, minus the contract legalese Larry Send a noteboard - 20/12/2017 03:43:50 AM

View original postThe agreement did have a lot of waivers. I'm still trying to get it finalized today because the other side is being unconscionably obnoxious and my clients aren't quite yet willing to say "take it or leave it".

View original postI don't have a problem with his position on divorce, particularly since the Pope could just bring the Western church into conformity with the Eastern church and allow up to 3 marriages due to permitting up to 2 divorces on a "for fault" basis (i.e., none of this no-fault divorce crap that we now have in US law). I don't have a problem with his statements on not denying gays communion, either - that's not the proper role of the Church.

That's pretty much my view on those matters.

View original postI have serious issues with his fuzzy stance on Liberation Theology, which is squarely at odds with the Church and the Scripture.

I'll admit some elements of Liberation Theology appeal to me, but that's the remnants of my socialist young adulthood. I believe the role of the Church is not to become rooted in materialistic concerns, unless those jibe with the eternal mission of the Church. Some seem to forget this.
