This song came out in 1968 when I was 15. I was blasting it on the stereo one day when my father came home early from work. I still remember the back door opening followed by,

MICHAEL!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP????

It could be worse, my favorite 2 christmas albums are Kamelot's Epica and The Black Halo which are two concept albums that are tied together. These two albums are part of my yearly ritual in the time of December.

Yes these are two are Christmas albums but unless you listen to them from beginning to end...but during the story if you hear just part of the two albums you would say WTF if someone tells you these are Christmas stories.

If you are not familiar Mookie, Kamelot's Epica and The Black Halo Albums are two CDs that are concept albums that as a Power Metal Rock Opera telling / retelling with some modification the story of Goethe's Faust...At the very end you learn the story is actually a stage play telling the audience this did not actually happened but is instead a Morality Play that happens at the end of the winter festival before the coming New Year, in other words chairó for

Hold on now /
Don't leave don't let it go /
Dance away the waltz of life /
Right or wrong /
The seed we never sow /
That's our loss /
Our sacrifice /

What does the winter bring /
If not yet another spring /

Edit: So my point is if your dad or mom walked into midway in the story you are hearing a story about a guy selling his soul to Mephistopheles, or the story about the "devil / angel" trying to corrupt the man.
