View original postThe Democratic House candidate is appealing to pro-military, tough on crime, fiscal conservatism and as an adversary of Nancy Pelosi. The Republican Senate candidate is appealing to pro-abortion feminism and as an adversary of President Trump. And dogs and cats are living together.

Going by your description of your district as well as the state, those positions seem to make sense in both cases, about what you'd expect from a candidate of that party running in that race who's hoping to actually win. And since it sounds like a question of what they most focus on, rather than an exhaustive comparison of all their positions, it doesn't exclude the possibility that the Democratic candidate may still be more left-of-centre on the whole of her positions than the Republican one? Though I also wouldn't find it all that shocking if that weren't even the case. And would be happy about that, actually.
