Going by your description of your district as well as the state, those positions seem to make sense in both cases, about what you'd expect from a candidate of that party running in that race who's hoping to actually win. And since it sounds like a question of what they most focus on, rather than an exhaustive comparison of all their positions, it doesn't exclude the possibility that the Democratic candidate may still be more left-of-centre on the whole of her positions than the Republican one? Though I also wouldn't find it all that shocking if that weren't even the case. And would be happy about that, actually.
