It is unconscienable that HR 40 has never been passed. Congress studies the refereeing of professional sports, for Chrissakes. Authorizing a study of something this important should be a no-brainer.

Yup. It's a joke. I have hope though. The DSA has members who are broadly in support of reparations. And Rashida Tlaib, who replaced Conyers, is a DSA member. For me, this is a litmus test for the DSA. If they fail to even get HR40 up for a vote (no matter that it will surely die in the Senate), they'd have failed.
