I do think he understands physics quite well. But when a photon goes from air or vacuum to an optically denser medium, The wavelength is shortened although the frequency is unchanged.

So once your light moves from medium to medium, does 'green' change, or not? I submit that light with the properties Shrike listed is green in a vacuum, and, if it enters a different medium such that its wavelength is shortened to be out of the rough range Shrike claims can be said to have changed to 'not green', which is different than a claim that it's changed to 'green, but in a polymer gel'.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
