You used to live in Wichita so you probably half remember this city that is 20 miles from downtown Wichita and 10 miles from Andover Kansas.

That, failing improved flood control, low areas in towns that repeatedly flood should be abandoned. Portions of Augusta no doubt should be included.

But my point to Ghavrel is something different - telling the people of Augusta to stop building in those areas should be completely in-bounds. And does happen.

I do not believe that this is even true. There are people who tell others not to rebuild in floodplains.
