That assumes that the principled thing to do is to remove the President, despite any evidence that would support such a removal. That's a load of shit.

Pelosi did take a huge risk because she will push moderates against Democrats, it does make the Party look like it's lurched far to the left, and Trump has raised way more money because of impeachment than he otherwise would have.


The party looks like it's lurched far to the left because, well, the positions and policy proposals of the presidential candidates have in fact lurched far to the left. The impeachment has nothing to do with left or right, and everything with whether members of Congress want to let a president get away with breaking the law and abusing government resources for his re-election campaign. It should be a complete no-brainer that the members of the opposing party don't want that, what's interesting is the positions of those in his own party.
