Well, it's probably indicative of an alien mindset on Merkel's part, that she thinks she's one of the 'good' "us". It's ironic that you chose the issue of Borders on which to facetiously misquote Trump, because that's how normal people think, along the lines of national borders (including all those Mexican non-rapists and rapists. I guarantee you they are not thinking of moving about the free and open continent of North America, they are thinking about distinct national differences between where they want to be and do not). Merkel is probably trying to identify as a Citizen of the World or as a European. Sorry, Anggela, to the rest of us, you're a German. You do not get to claim that you would have been with the Allies, and that you are part of the "we" who beat down Nazism. You don't get tarred with the Nazi brush, but when you are speaking for Germany, YOU especially the you who almost certainly holds the SJW positions vis a vis on-going German guilt for the Holocaust, does not get to pretend you actually identify with something other than Germany, in such a specific context.
