Especially regarding the black community. The biggest driver of the racial success/wealth gap is the breakdown of the black family. This gap closes dramatically when you look at income and education achievements of black families with 2 parents in the household. Get married, stay married, have children, value education, etc. This is the blueprint for success for all races and people in the US.

That easy, huh? So explain this to me... When you incarcerated a significantly higher proportion of African Americans, most on nonviolent drug charges, how are they supposed to "stay married". I'm not saying a prison term necessarily equals divorce. But presumably in your formula for success, the marriage is contributing to success by both parents earning money, and being able to spend time on their kids?
If your rejoinder to that is, don't do drugs, then you'll have to explain why some drug use and possession was explicitly penalized at higher rates and with worse punishments.
Is there an advantage to being white in the US? Sure. But no more than being the majority race/ethnicity of any other country. And as per the census, demos are quickly changing.
It's absolutely not true that being white is just like being the majority population in any other country, simply because the way America treats is minorities is significantly worse than many other countries.
Which is why they enjoy significantly more political power despite, as you note, the demos changing.
Do we need some common sense police reforms? Sure. But as pointed out in the Floyd thread, the issues with police and unarmed black citizens are minor. The data is clear.
Care to share this supposedly clear data? Can't say I read any such thing in that thread.
