Her explanation for why gay marriage should be legal was always, to me, RGB at her best. She understood that gay marriage was just the next step in our reimagining and restructuring of the institution of marriage as between a dominant man and a subordinate woman. I still remember felling fierce pride and exhilaration to see someone marry my feminism and bisexuality when she asked that question in the Obergefell case. She helped massively expand the possibilities for women. She also expanded what was allowed for men. I will always be deeply thankful that she fought so fiercely for all that.
