The question was about the Supreme Court upholding the Hyde Amendment in 1980 and her surprise at the decision. Here's her response:
"Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion."
It seems to me here that she is referring to the general view and not her personal views. I see how it could be construed that way. But I don't believe that was the case.
