Nevertheless, I'd like to say that Justice Ginsburg was a remarkable woman and an inspiration to many. My condolances to those who loved her.
On another note, she and Justice Scalia were dear friends even though they could hardly have been more different ideologically. We can all learn from that example.
My cousin shared on IG a picture by Melissa McCarthy showing a mailbox with the writing "this is how you fight fascism". I rather meekly commented that using fascism to describe anyone in American politics is making the word cheap. She countered with a "if you say that you haven't been paying attention". Which I guess is the new "you're stupid but I'm nice about it". And that's coming from my cousin who likes me, so I guess we're screwed.
To which, if you wanted to be both accurate and start a fight, you could have countered that she needs to study history and this shows her ignorance. But, also, that if anyone is acting like fascists it is these "anti"-fascists types.
