He's a NYT columnist, conservative at least by NYT standards, who has been writing a lot about the right perspective to see Trump in - to what extent he's an incompetent joke and to what extent deliberately malicious, that sort of thing.

I've long been thinking along similar lines - that there was a sort of weird duality about 'MAGAworld's views on the election, like they sort of half really believed it was stolen and half not. If they had fully believed it all from the start, surely there would've been more violence already earlier than this.
