Getting an ID shouldn't be a problem. What hurdles do you mean ?
Like restricting the number of drop boxes in urban counties, which tend to lean Democratic. There should be a proportional number of drop boxes for ballots, depending on population, with no artificial limits that advantage access in rural counties. Or making it so you can't cast a provisional ballot if you mistakenly go to the wrong precinct in your county. This is particularly pernicious given the 200+ precincts Georgia has closed in the past decade. People are confused where they need to go, and if they mistakenly show up in the wrong precinct in the middle of their work day to vote, they should be able to cast a provisional ballot, instead of being asked to go to an entirely different location.
Which brings me to my next point: election day needs to be a holiday. It's insane that this country thinks it is okay to have hourly workers who don't get paid time off lose earnings to go vote.
Vote after 5pm, you say? That would require there to be a good number of polling places, which again has not been the case in states like Georgia.
How can people be upset about trying to stop election fraud in Georgia?
