And it's not secretly sharing information with an enemy. That's the cowardly, weasel way. But it would have taken true moral courage to go public with that belief and we know that doesn't exist anymore in politics.
... it's that no, there ISN'T a mechanism for dealing with that. Not unless the president in question is sufficiently unpopular with his own party, which was the case with Nixon but in the current hyperpolarized climate is increasingly unlikely.
