It looks like the majority of the largest capacity reactors are located either near borders or the coasts.

Nuclear reactors need a lot of cooling. At coasts you have an entire sea to provide plenty of cool water. Other reactors might be at a river, but a river contains less water than the ocean, and hence less cooling capacity. Sweden has all our 4 plants located at the coast because of this.

Then again, it seems like most of the French nuclear plants are inland, although often at rivers.
