Yeah. Not without reason, in fairness - large parts of tGH really contributed rather little to the larger storyline. And while the Seanchan as a whole do contribute significantly, they are also relatively easy to detach from the main plot and set aside, if you want to reduce a 14 book series to 8-ish seasons of television, so it would make a lot of sense if they did that.
