I'm withholding judgment on it so far. I mean, I don't think Mandalorian is all THAT much better. Looping in folks like Ahsoka, Bo Katan, et al is cool, but at the end of the day it's not really about plot or character, it's about remixing archetypes in fun and cool ways - just like the original Star Wars did.
This is not to say it's a BAD show, but it's not going to be Breaking Bad, Sopranos, or even Justified.
