As you point out, seconded by Tom below, then thirded by Cannoli in his recap, a multi season show could have easily planned for the 1900 year timeline between the forging of the Rings and the end of the Second Age. How instead will they make five seasons with this ridiculously short time frame without beating everything to death?

Focusing on wokeness, like so many of the internet critics, misses the point. They are doing a terrible job with the story, the dialogue, and the characters. That would still be the case whatever their race or gender.
