If intentional grounding wasn't an additional penalty aerocontrols Send a noteboard - 31/01/2023 02:46:33 PM

then the QB could almost always just down the ball and avoid being sacked for a loss or taken down for a safety.

but then I remind myself that nobody can beat the Chiefs and the refs.

My understanding of the rules is partial, but I assume the complaints are about the intentional grounding that cost Burrow his last play and the unnecessary roughness that saved Mahomes.

Am I on target ?

So, about intentional grounding, I would think the wasted down is bad enough, why is this considered nefarious ?

The sketchiest call involves the Chiefs getting a do-over because there was a clock issue and a referee was trying (without success) to stop a play from beginning but they went anyway. I was super glad that KC didn't turn that into points, but it had to be disheartening for the Bengals to see the Chiefs given another chance.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
