I think Cannoli has done a good job in these posts to point out the many places where they rather undermine any woke/feminist agenda they may have - and even when they aren't actively undermining it, they often change much more, or change it in worse ways, than they need to just to deliver such political messages.

So probably most people here would agree with you that the writers do indeed have an agenda - but does that adequately explain why it's so bad, no. You could make a WoT show with both the inevitable changes required from a series like that to a TV show, and the rather more optional changes to make it fit better with current progressive thought, while still ending up with something much better than this.
