Likewise a lot of the support for the Palestinians from Democrats has to do with the critical theory mindset that the world is divided into two camps, the oppressed and their oppressors. In this worldview Israel, like the US, is a colonizing oppressor.

Saying it's all about Bibi is a little simplistic. Bibi is vulnerable once this ends. Israel has a track record of ousting leaders on whose watch successful attacks take place. See Golda Meir.
