I mean, why would they even bring up that imagery? The NYTimes aren't the ones wetting the bed, here, but they are wrong that a switch from Biden at this late date will help.

After months of crying about how Trump is a threat to democracy, the Dems are going to throw out even their sham of a nomination process so that... the Obamas and the Clintons can choose a new nominee in some back room somewhere? Someone who will have mere weeks to stand up a campaign? And Joe Biden's faction, who controls all the money raised thus far for "Biden For America" or whatever, is going to hand that money over to the person they pick?

We really are going to get 4 more years of President Trump, aren't we? Jesus Christ.
